This new facility, with forward-thinking planning and design specifically for behavioral health services, improves access and enhances the quality of psychiatric emergency care for the Fort Worth community.
The Beck Group, in partnership with architecture+ and Gensler, are not just designing a 98-bed emergency psychiatric center. The team is leveraging decades of design and construction expertise and a continuous cost estimate approach to address the current supply chain, inflation and project escalation fluctuations. This comprehensive approach will allow the team to deliver a cutting-edge facility on time and within budget, significantly impacting an underserved patient population. This 95,000 SF building is not just a structure. It’s a beacon of hope for patients experiencing mental health emergencies in the Fort Worth community. Its location on a steep urban site requires an innovative design approach. The team is using cutting-edge trauma-informed design to plan concealed entrances for patient privacy, a fast-track triage area and observation units on the first floor. Space will be thoughtfully planned on the second floor for patients needing an extended emergency stay. When completed, patients will find safety and solace at the JPS Health Network Psychiatric Emergency Center.
