JPS Health Network Psychiatric Emergency Center (PEC)

The Beck Group, along with architecture+ and Gensler, is designing a dedicated behavioral health emergency center to serve adolescents and adults. The new facility will expand access to care with a fast-track triage area and observation units on the first floor, while patients requiring additional monitoring will transition to the second floor for a 23-hour stay. Beck is leveraging its design expertise and construction experience to enhance the process through continuous cost estimating—critical in navigating supply chain challenges, inflation, and project escalation fluctuations. The team also facilitated early meetings between JPS, MEP, and Low Voltage consultants to make system selections early, ensuring a more informed cost estimate. This comprehensive management approach will enable the team to deliver a cutting-edge emergency center that serves patients when they need it most.
