Texas Health Huguley Hospital Campus

Texas Health Huguley, partnering with Beck's design/build team, has created a dynamic healthcare campus to better serve the Fort Worth community today and in the future. With two major projects—a 233,000 SF patient bed tower and a 108,000 SF critical care tower—this campus is thoughtfully planned to enhance patient care and accommodate future growth. 

The six-story patient bed tower features a modern public lobby and a dedicated women's services floor, complete with two C-section suites, eight labor and delivery rooms, 20 postpartum rooms and a nursery. It also houses three levels of medical/surgical units, each with 36 inpatient beds. The spacious 300 SF private rooms are designed to accommodate visiting families and additional medical equipment, with all rooms equipped for telehealth and patient lifts. The top floor remains shelled for future expansion. The patient tower's excellence was recognized with a first-place award in the Healthcare 3 (Over $30M) category of the TEXO Distinguished Building Awards.

Located on the northwest side of the campus, the five-story critical care tower increases the hospital's emergency capacity while offering advanced intensive care, cardiac, surgical and oncology services, all attached to the existing hospital. The emergency department (ED) has doubled in size and includes a central station overseeing fast track, triage and trauma, featuring two expandable urgent care pods.

A key innovation in Beck's design is the implementation of substations and central stations that allow one nurse to care for two patients, enhancing efficiency and reducing waiting areas. The new ED also incorporates designated behavioral health and ICU zones, increasing throughput and patient capacity.

As the only large hospital in a rapidly growing community, these two new facilities greatly expand Texas Health Huguley's capabilities. The campus is designed to evolve with the community's healthcare needs, ensuring seamless and enhanced patient care for years.
